Hey SIL & Bro - welcome to sandra Ave!
Here is some info and tips (room by room) you may or may not find helpful on your stay…
bedroom
your slippers have been washed and dried since last time!
There’s an extension and the electric heated throw cable in the bedside table drawer if one of you want to use it
feel free to reconfigure the beds however suits you
there’s a little light and a power bank clipped to the end of the wood-frame bed
bathroom
feel free to leave your bathroom stuff in there - the top drawer is more or less empty and the top shelf of the shower too
help yourself to toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc
there is a flowery bath mat hanging to the left of the door next to the shower - it will probably get soggy so hang it up between showers in the hope it dries out a bit but we can change it of course LOL
i still have no ventilation in the bathroom so keep the window open while showering plz, and also flick on the dehumidifier - not sure if it helps - but worth trying. it’s the switch on the powerboard closed to the bin
the hairdryer is hanging on a hook on the wall to the left of the sink. feel free to use it to dry your hair or de-fog mirrors
i left 2 more grey towels in there so you can alternate and give them time to dry a bit between uses.
loo
there is extra tp and whatever loo supplies in the cabinet behind the loo
there’s a lil sensor light on top of the mirror so if you need to go loo in the middle of the night, you don’t need to turn the light on and get woken up by harsh light!
kitchen
please feel ZERO obligation to lift a finger in the kitchen - it’s relaxo time - but some of this stuff may be handy to know for whatever reason
the rubbish bin is under the sink hanging from the right door
i am terrified of bin juice so if you ever feel like changing the bin liner - plz double bag it
under the sink is all the usual cleaning stuff, rubbish bags are in a basket on the bottom right
i don’t have a smol recycling bin, I just walk out to the big one every day or more if needed
i’m collecting bottles/cans… 10c deposit things in the laundry sink, once they are clean and dry they can go in the basket in there
there are 2 pumps on the sink, the right is handwash, the left is morning fresh detergent
the dishwasher doesn’t work wahh - it does a nice job of storing all kinds of things
glasses and plates are in the over bench cabinets close the laundry door
bowls are in the over bench cabinets next to the PANTRY; i like the white ones and the yellow ones for cereal (depending on how much cereal i want
teacups are in the cabinet above the kettle use any one you like any time you like
please pull out the drawer with the kettle on it when boiling water + the toaster when making toast, just so the under cabinet doesn’t get all steamed up/burnt TY!
the drawer under the kettle is full of teas - go hard
there are painkillers, bandaids, antihisthamines, ventolin etc inside the door of the pantry - help yourself, don’t ask
there is bread in the pantry
there is cereal towards the left of the pantry
there are 3 old cordial bottles full of water in the door of the fridge if you like to drink chilled water - i remember you liking boiled water - so i boiled it for you… I can’t promise I’ll be bothered for the refills LOL.
go hard on the drinks in the fridge, the milduras and the herbal watermelon tea are both disapointing. i’m positive the bundabergs will be good though
there are boxes of little icecream sticks in the freezer, i don’t remember what they all are, but one were ferero rocher - looking forward to tasting those.

snacksgiving 2024
i have been buying and hoarding snax for weeks in the lead up to your visit - the snack situation is out of control
i made an inventory list, so when you’re feeling snacky, you can peruse the list and then hunt down the snack… or you can just trawl through the snax themselves at your leisure
I’m particularly excited about the jatz timtams… and all the weird chippies… and the mint twirl bites and the choco-airs… the ‘peelable fudge’ lollies are just about the best lollies i’ve ever eaten. i had to exersise maximum restraint to save some for y’all… so plz eat some.
rules of snacksgiving 2024
don’t ask, just open/eat/enjoy, whatever, whenever
if you like something and can fit it in your suitcase, just steal it and stow it in your luggage before someone opens and eats it
there are clips if you want to seal a package and can’t be bothered with the impulse sealer
there are snacksgiving bowls if you want to not snarf from the big chippie packets
plz eat a mandarin to stave off scurvy
breakkie/lunch ideas
cereal… there is milo cereal, iron something or other cereal and nutri-grain
yoghurt with cereal or ‘clusters’ - there is nice little pots of fig/something yoghurts, add some of those clusters you’ll see with the cereal in the pantry
toast… i have butter, vegemite, cheese, cream cheese, peanut butter, jam
jaffles - my new jafflera is my pride and joy… there’s ham in the top right drawer of the fridge, you can have ham & cheese (sliced cheese or grated cheese in the right crisper), baby spinach (left crisper) & feta, mushrooms and bacon… use your imagination
there are 3 angus and mushroom pies in the freezer - zap for a few mins then airfry for a few mins
there’s an awesome tiny chilean bakery about 900 meters from here - las penas - they have a thousand flavours of empanadas, and they do them fried
car
it’s fully stocked up with e-tag so please don’t avoid tolls
you shouldn’t run out of petrol, but if you do, ulp 91 is fine
the clicky to open the garage is on the back of the driver visor
in the glove box there is a pencil case with masks, sanitiser, painkillers and misc stuff
in the boot under the floor where the tyre lives, there are shopping bags
feel free to connect your phone/s to car play (if you can figure out how)
my insurer is budget direct - you’re both named and both have authority to act on the account. don’t stress if something breaks or if there’s any damage to the car… that’s why I have insurance and it’s just a car.
laundry
do as many loads of washing and drying as you like - ideally, do a few loads before you go home so you can open suitcases full of fresh clothes ready to put away! how nice!
use the drier as much as you like but everything needs to be open - the back door etc because the laundry gets steamy and eww otherwise - so maybe drier during the day
washing liquid (cold power), fabric softener and booster (if you need) are under the trough
here is a demo
other random stuff
〰️
other random stuff 〰️
there are hooks next to the door where you can hang coats/handbags etc, you can also leave your shoes next to the door if you like
don’t stress if something breaks - thing are just things, plz don’t replace or worry
stash things in the fridge if you need - don’t ask
if you’re cold, just turn on the heater - flick the top switch to the left on the panel next to the kitchen
